Welcome to Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart. Duchesne is an independent, Catholic college preparatory high school for girls that focuses on academic excellence, commitment to Jesus Christ, personal growth and social responsibility. The average class size at Duchesne is 15. This small, family environment allows individual attention to be given to each student. Our committed teachers are friendly and always willing to help.

Duchesne is more than just a high school. It is a place of tradition, excellence in learning, lasting friendships and a window of opportunities. At Duchesne you can find out who you really are and you will be accepted for your unique gifts and talents. Come in for a visit with our students, faculty and staff and you will see just how special Duchesne is.

If your daughter has completed, or is about to complete eighth grade, she must take an entrance exam to begin the admissions process. Seventh and eighth grade students are encouraged to visit Duchesne for a day, shadowing a current student to learn first hand about all aspects of student life at Duchesne.  The Academy accepts all qualified students for admission, regardless of race, creed or national origin. Transfer students in tenth and eleventh grades are also welcome.

Recommendations and an essay are required. An interview may be part of the process as well. I look forward to meeting your daughter soon!
