Lower Teacher-to-Student Rations
The state of Nebraska mandates a ratio of 1-to-10 for 3-year-olds. Duchesne's limit is 1-to-6. For 4-year-olds, the state mandates a ratio of 1-to-12. Duchesne's limit is 1-to-7.

Teacher Qualifications
Many preschools advertise "certified teachers", which often refers to a Child Development Certificate rather than an education degree. Duchesne Preschool requires that the Lead Teacher in each classroom have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Education.

Religious Foundation

The Duchesne Preschool's curriculum is based on a love of God, love for one another, and an atmosphere of peace and kindness. Faith is an integral part of the program.

Specialist Teachers

The academic program includes specialist teachers in the areas of Spanish, art, music, computer education, and PE. These age-appropriate programs integrate the preschool skills being presented in the classroom, and provide introductions that set the foundation for further exploration in these areas throughout the child's life.

Tradition

Many of the Sacred Heart traditions established over the past 125 years are carried on in the preschool.
