The film we will be showing is Blood Diamond starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Djimon Hounsou, and Jennifer Connelly. The movie centers on the civil war in Sierra Leone over the country’s illicit diamond trade. A discussion on the themes of the movie will follow. There is no charge but you may make a voluntary donation to the Catholic Worker House. Snacks will be provided. NOTE: the movie is rated R, so if you are not seventeen you will need to bring a provided signed permission slip.
