Since Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat founded the Society of the Sacred Heart in France in 1801, Sacred Heart has grown and expanded across the world. The Sacred Heart network now includes 25 schools across North America and nearly 160 schools internationally

Our partnerships with Sacred Heart sister schools along with other domestic and international initiatives mean Duchesne students and alumnae are instantly part of an expansive, diverse network of of women.

Grace and Emily A'25: New Orleans

Grace and Emily, A’25, visited New Orleans, Louisiana on an impactful service trip. While there, they helped package food at a food bank, cleaned up gardens full of weeds and trash, and visited a coastal restoration center to make bags of oysters, with the intention to help lower the rising water levels in New Orleans.

Lauren, Ava, and Maggie A'25: Australia

Three members of A’25, Lauren, Ava, and Maggie, all went on exchange to Australia, and while there they attended one of our Sacred Heart schools and got to firsthand experience day-to-day life in Australia.

Spain

Sixteen members of A’26 and A’25 embarked on Duchesne’s first ever Spain trip, where they visited the cities of Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Sevilla, and Granada. The girls spent 10 days traveling around Spain, making memories, and learning about the unique culture and traditions Spain has to offer! 

Lily and Adriana A'26: New York City

Lily and Adriana, A’26, visited New York City, New York on a meaningful service trip as well. In New York, Lily and Adriana went to 3 different services sights, where they served soup to the homeless, packaged food for the needy, and visited a rehabilitation center, where incarcerated people had to opportunity to earn degrees and change their lives.
