Who We Are
Duchesne Academy educates young women to be active participants in their own development. Rooted in Sacred Heart values, we provide a safe, loving place for them to learn how to evaluate complex matters with poise and discernment.
Admissions
At Duchesne, girls support girls. Research proves girls who attend an all-girls high school arrive on a college campus more confident, better equipped with strong study skills, and are more motivated to improve their communities than peers who attended a co-educational school.

Arts

Athletics
Athletics and academics go hand-in-hand at Duchesne Academy. 75% of students participate in at least one sport, creating a culture of teamwork, Sacred Heart sisterhood, leadership, and strength both on and off the field.

Meet the Principal

Dear Guests:

As the principal at Duchesne, I am in charge of all of the academic programs: teachers, curriculum, and student achievement. I am very proud of our outstanding faculty and students. I began teaching at Duchesne in 1991 and became principal in 2002. I am also a graduate of the Academy in 1985, and the mother of a 2004 graduate.

Duchesne is a very special place. We are different from most high schools because of our all-female student body, our college-preparatory curriculum, our 140 years of tradition, and our small size. But what makes us truly different is our Sacred Heart Mission. I encourage you and your daughter to reflect on and to make the values of Sacred Heart part of your lives as women of faith, as curious learners and leaders, and as women empowered to make the world a better place through their community and in their relationships.
