Visit Duchesne

Home is where the Sacred Heart is.

Duchesne is a special place. There is no greater way to experience it than to visit our beautiful, historic campus. Schedule a Shadow Day to see what it's like to be a Duchesne Girl or let us know the best way to welcome you to our home.

Before your visit:
Here's what you need to know for your daughter's Discover Duchesne day. Feel free to contact Lauren Mueller ( if you have any questions
Drop off and Pick up: Please plan to have your daughter arrive between 8:30 - 8:40 a.m. at the main entrance (Portry)  through the circle drive at 36th and Burt St. Please do not use the main student parking lot. Pick up will be at the same location.
Monday- 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday/Thursday- 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday/Friday - 2:00 p.m.
What to wear: Most shadow students wear a skirt, dress, or leggings with a longer shirt or sweater. Clothing should be appropriate for a school environment. Students may also want to consider bringing a light fleece or jacket.
Lunch: We invite your daughter to be our guest to sample the culinary creations of the Duchesne chefs with a complementary hot lunch or trip through the salad bar! If your daughter would like to bring a lunch from home, refrigerator access will also be available.
What to bring: Duchesne has a goal to be a zero-waste school by 2030, so please have your daughter bring a water bottle to use throughout the day. She may also want to bring a book or notebook in case her host has a quiz or test in a certain class.
We have a student-run snack bar on Ground Floor that students often like to visit during a break. $5-6 is typically the average cost, and is completely optional.
