During the COVID-19 pandemic, stress and fear can feel like the larger contagions affecting our lives. Duchesne’s counseling department will continue to support all of you however we can. Here are a few resources:
- Our personal counselor, Mrs. Walsh, will be available via email as well as calls and texts during normal school hours (8:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.). The number is (531) 333-3086. If Mrs. Walsh doesn’t answer please leave a voicemail or follow up with a text stating your name and a good time to reach you. Missed phone calls without voicemails/follow up texts won’t be returned, and calls/texts sent after 4:15 p.m. will be returned the next day. If you’d like to have a one-on-one zoom meeting, please email Mrs. Walsh and we can get that setup.
- Mrs. Walsh will host a standing Zoom meeting every weekday starting March 18th from 12-12:30 p.m. for anyone who wants to check in and process social distancing. The link to join this meeting is: https://zoom.us/j/476200336 Meeting ID: 476 200 336
- There is currently an opening for telehealth counseling services with Catholic Charities. If you are interested in speaking with a therapist through this service, please reach out to Mrs. Walsh.
- If you need emergency assistance outside of school hours please contact the Boystown National Hotline at 800-448-300, SAMHSA’S Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990 or text TalkWithUs to 66746. You can also reach the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741.
