Free rides for students on ORBT

All K-12 students in the city of Omaha can ride Metro ORBT, Moby, or regular buses for FREE until June 1, 2022. All they need is a student ID to board and ride at no charge.

The ORBT buses travel Dodge Street between Westroads Mall and Downtown. ORBT stops are serviced by buses every 10 minutes and have free WiFi!

"It is a quick, cheap, ecologically sound way to get where you want to go and it helps reduce parking stress at Duchesne," said Assistant Principal Eric Krakowski.

For Duchesne students, the nearest ORBT stop is at 33rd and Dodge St. Duchesne has made arrangements with Creighton University for our students to ride the Blue Jay Shuttle which serves Creighton students. When arriving at the ORBT stop students can either walk the 10 minutes to Duchesne or they can catch the Blue Jay Shuttle at 33rd and Davenport and it will drop them off at 36th and California St., near the Duchesne student parking lot.

Students who are interested in using the ORBT and Blue Jay shuttle should contact Mr. Krakowski. Creighton is requiring all Duchesne riders to complete a parental waiver form in advance and all shuttle riders must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
