Who We Are
Duchesne Academy educates young women to be active participants in their own development. Rooted in Sacred Heart values, we provide a safe, loving place for them to learn how to evaluate complex matters with poise and discernment.
Admissions
At Duchesne, girls support girls. Research proves girls who attend an all-girls high school arrive on a college campus more confident, better equipped with strong study skills, and are more motivated to improve their communities than peers who attended a co-educational school.

Athletics
Athletics and academics go hand-in-hand at Duchesne Academy. 75% of students participate in at least one sport, creating a culture of teamwork, Sacred Heart sisterhood, leadership, and strength both on and off the field.

Winter Sports

Swim/Dive Recap: Jan. 19-26

2024-2025 Highlights so far:

At the Burke Invitational on December 7th, the team placed 4th out of 10 teams overall. They followed that up with a solid performance at the Elkhorn Invitational on December 21st, finishing 5th out of 13 teams overall.
They have achieved secondary state qualifying times in all three relays: 200 medleys, 200 freestyle, and 400 freestyle.
Mila Van Belle achieved an automatic qualifying time in the 100-yard backstroke and divers Jackie Johnson, Sydney McCoy, and Molly Wurth have all qualified for State Diving. Addy Roseberry and Amelia Dolan have achieved secondary qualifying times in their respective events.

Mark your Calendars: Senior Night is on January 30^th at 5:30pm at Titan Hill Intermediate School (4125 Harry Langdon Blvd, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). They are looking to defeat their conference rival, Skutt Catholic. Feel free to bring posters and wear your Duchesne gear
