Duchesne Academy has been invited to nominate 4 seniors as candidates for the Creighton University Grit Scholarship for the 2024/2025 school year. Seniors that have applied to Creighton by November 1^st are welcome to apply for a Grit Scholarship nomination from Duchesne.  A Grit Scholar is “hard-working, high achieving, full of perseverance and passion for her goals and ready to change the world.”  There is no GPA or ACT restriction included in the eligibility requirements. 

Students will complete an application which will be reviewed anonymously by an outside committee.  The students’ names will be redacted from all materials. The committee will then make recommendations to Duchesne Academy to nominate these candidates to Creighton University.

Seniors have received an email from Mrs. Swanson with directions for the nomination application.  The materials are due in hard copy on Monday, November 4^th at 9:00am to Mrs. Swanson.

Please note: This application is not the official Grit Scholarship application. Students who receive a committee nomination from their high school will be given access in their Creighton University student portal to the official application.  They will need to complete an application and interview with Creighton University staff for the scholarship award.
