Our DASH Trap team added to the trophy case this week! Libby Saal A26 was the female champion in the Blair Buckle Shoot. Libby, Annie McGill A28, and Mari A28 all finished the 1st round with top 5 scores to qualify for a shootout for Top Female and Runner-up Female.

Duchesne Families are encouraged to dig into the resources available through The Social Institute. These are designed to promote healthy relationships with technology and include things like evaluating social media, learning about AI, setting healthy boundaries and talking to kids about screen time. A27 and A28 students are invited to apply for the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council. MYAC brings together a diverse group of high school students to advise, lead and reimagine what’s possible for Omaha’s youth and their communities. MYAC members will serve a 1-year term August-May and meet monthly with the Mayor’s office and city leaders for leadership development and civic learning. Students received the application in an email from Mrs. Walsh on March 5th. Applications are due April 1!

All students are invited to attend the Kim Foundation’s Empower Youth Summit on Thursday, March 26th from 8:30-2:30pm. It is a day for high school students focused on mental wellness, resilience, and hope. Questions can be sent to Mrs. Krissy Walsh (kwalsh@duchesneacademy.org). Kara Leininger and Moyra Matthews A'27 received the Nebraska Young Artist Awards! The Nebraska Young Artist Awards annually recognize Nebraska high school juniors who are talented in art, music, dance, theatre, or film and emerging media.
