Duchesne Academy continues to shine in educating young women in STEM. The College Board awarded Duchesne the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding access to both AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A for the 2022-23 school year.

This honor acknowledges Duchesne's work in closing the gender representation gap in computer science. According to the College Board, research shows female students who take AP computer science are more likely to major in computer science in college compared to female students of similar background and academic preparation.

Duchesne is one of 68 institutions recognized by the College Board for improving gender representation during the 2022-23 school year for both AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A. The College Board also recognizes Duchesne Computer Science and Robotics teacher, Sarah Stratman, for her contributions toward this achievement.
