Duchesne Academy has hired Marissa Ringblom to be the school’s next Athletic & Activities Director. The announcement comes following an extensive and thorough search for candidates residing within and outside of the Omaha area.
Mrs. Ringblom will work closely with Dean of Students Amy Becker to ensure Duchesne’s robust Athletics program continues to serve the school’s student-athletes and that all students, whether they are athletes or not, have an opportunity to pursue their interests.
“Her passion for girls sports and expertise in program development make her the best person to lead Cardinal Athletics,” said Head of School Meg Brudney.
Mrs. Ringbolm was most recently the Director of Sport Performance, Director of Basketball, and the Co-Director of Goalkeeping at the Elkhorn Athletics Association. She also brings her experience as a personal trainer and coach to Duchesne.
‘I look forward to supporting students so they can reach their full potential in the classroom, in athletics, and in fine arts activities. There are so many valuable life lessons like leadership and time management that come from participation in athletics,” Ringblom said.
She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney where she was a member of the women’s soccer team. She and her husband, Eric, have a two-year-old daughter, Myla.
