This is an important correction about Congé raffle ticket sales and Christmas break.
Student raffle ticket sales begin this week!
THE DETAILS:
Your daughter will receive 12 tickets from her advisor on November 1, 2023. If she sells all 12 she will earn a pair of special Congé sweatpants to wear the entire month of January, without her uniform skirt!
Our school has a goal to sell 3,800 tickets by December 4th.
If we reach our goal, the school will get the day off on Friday, January 5, and the new semester will begin January 8, 2024. The October 31 edition of Burt Street News incorrectly stated the day off would be January 3rd. We apologize for the error.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
There are two raffles that support Congé: The Student Sweatpants Challenge and the Congé Raffle. The sales for both start on November 1st.
#1: The Student Sweatpant Raffle Challenge
- If your daughter sells 12 tickets, she will receive a pair of special Congé sweatpants.
- She may wear them the ENTIRE month of January without their uniform skirt.
- Each ticket is $10. This raffle has three cash prizes, winners will be drawn on December 7, 2023.
- Sales are from November 1 to December 4.
#2: The Congé Raffle
- The raffle chairs, Melissa Matczak and Jeff Matuella, are in the process of recruiting ticket sellers for this BIG part of our fundraiser. We need your help, so we appreciate your timely response when you hear from them.
- From November 1st to the night of the event, Friday, January 26, we have a goal to sell 850 tickets.
- Each ticket is $100 or 3 for $250. Tickets can be sold locally or nationally!
- The $10,000 grand prize drawing will take place at Congé. Winners do not have to be present.
