Dear Friends:

Duchesne Academy is a, Catholic, Independent, Sacred Heart, all-girls high school located in the heart of Omaha. We have been educating young women since 1881.

Duchesne is a unique and wonderful school that celebrates our rich history while preparing our students for the challenges and opportunities of today and tomorrow. Our girls enjoy not just equal opportunity, but every opportunity. They come to us as girls and leave as women ready for college and life.

Love is our Mission. This bold statement captures the spirit of Duchesne that I see in the classrooms, on the courts, in the preschool, and on the stage.

We are members of a network of 25 Sacred Heart schools in the United States and Canada and over 140 additional Sacred Heart schools around the world. Our network shares a common philosophy that embraces faith, knowledge, social awareness, the building of community and personal growth. These values, articulated in our Five Sacred Heart Goals, are the foundation from which our girls build their confidence and character. As a network, we partner to create national and international opportunities for our students and faculty. This ranges from student exchanges, international trips, network-wide service opportunities, and collegiality for our faculty and staff.
