Sacred Heart Network
Duchesne Academy and Preschool of the Sacred Heart are part of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools, an association of 25 Sacred Heart schools across the United States and Canada.
The Network provides services and programs that promote and stimulate creative education and leadership framed by the Goals and Criteria. Sacred Heart Schools share a belief in the values of Christian education articulated nearly two hundred years ago by Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat, the foundress of the Society of the Sacred Heart.
Our Global Network
Our global network extends to over 150 schools in 41 different countries. Each has its own identity, but shares the Sacred Heart mission and is guided by the same values. Sacred Heart schools are deeply committed to each student's total development: spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical, and emphasize academic rigor, social responsibility and strong faith in the context of being a global citizen. The internationality of Sacred Heart education helps to foster an important global awareness in our students as we strive to build a more just and compassionate world.
Duchesne operates independently (governed by our Board of Trustees), but is entrusted by the Society of the Sacred Heart to fulfill our mission in accordance with the Goals and Criteria.
